PPA Cover

We know that PPA time is an important part in any teacher’s timetable to allow you to catch up on marking, and plan and prepare without affecting your social life!

What is PPA Cover?

PPA Cover is a provision that can be put in place whilst teachers make use of their entitled time away from the classroom. It allows their class to still be taught by a professional, qualified teacher.

What cover can we provide?

Pivotal Skills can place our fully trained coaches in your school, fitting in with your existing lesson time table.  All our coaches have a minimum enhanced DBS check , hold a current first aid at work certificate, have achieved a level 2 in their elite sport qualification and are trained in child protection. In addition, encourage each coach to obtain level ones in a variety of sports to further enhance their knowledge.

How we work?

Our coaches work both with each other and the teachers and teaching assistants in order to provide a cohesive learning environment for the pupils. Their goal is to work in collaboration with the school and its stakeholders and become part of that group. This leads to a working environment which is helpful, informative and most importantly will help improve the pupils ability and enjoyment of PE.
Pivotal Skills are also excited to introduce the use of technology before, during, and after lessons! This provides students with a better of understanding of how they can improve, parents with an insight of expectations and achievements, and teachers with a easy way of tracking progress. Over time, we plan to find more innovative ways of utilising technology.
